Electrician

Report app for electricians

Instead of «Ground floor installation done», the report says how many sockets, switches and light fittings were fitted and how many metres of cable were laid. It is typed on the phone; in the office it appears as soon as the report is submitted.

In the report

Counted, not described

The «Electrical» profile brings five fields under «Daily output»: three counts, the metres of cable laid and a tick for the test.

SocketsNumber

Sockets fitted that day.

SwitchesNumber

Counted separately from the sockets.

Light fittingsNumber

Light fittings connected.

Cable laidm

The metres laid that day.

Test report passed (NIN/SEV)Yes/No

Records that the test was passed — it does not replace the report itself.

Materials in the van, test equipment at a glance

Electricians often work out of the service van. Baurapport keeps every vehicle as a storage location of its own.

  • The service van as a store

Cables, terminals and fuses are kept in the vehicle storage. If the boss switches on deduction, the report first deducts from the employee's vehicle, otherwise from the central warehouse.

  • Lending test equipment

You lend multimeters and voltage testers to a person, with the site if you wish. On return you record the condition: OK, in repair or defective.

  • Schematics on the site

Plans and schematics as PDF, image or DWG are stored on the site. When the office uploads something, the assigned employees get a push notification.

  • Invoice time and materials directly

A site's reports produce the time-and-materials invoice: hours, travel time, kilometres and materials, as a Swiss QR-bill in PDF.

Cables, terminals, test equipment

13 items: three cable types, type 13 sockets, switches, WAGO terminals and fuses as consumables, multimeter, wire strippers and voltage tester as tools, plus insulating gloves, helmet and safety glasses. The 3×1.5 and 3×2.5 mm² cables each start with a minimum stock of 100 m.

  • Cable TT 3x1.5mm²
  • Cable TT 3x2.5mm²
  • Socket CH type 13
  • WAGO terminals 2273
  • Fuse B16A
  • Fluke multimeter
  • Voltage tester
  • Insulating gloves 1000V

Checklist per site

What needs doing on site is listed as a checklist on the site — your workers tick it off in the report. For example:

  • Cables pulled in on the upper floor
  • Distribution board labelled
  • Testing carried out
  • Covers and light fittings fitted

Examples — you set the items yourself.

Frequently asked questions

What businesses want to know first

Can I count sockets, switches and light fittings?

Yes. The «Electrical» profile has a number field for each, plus the metres of cable laid. The figures are in the day's report and in its view in the office.

Does the «Test report passed» field replace the safety certificate?

No. The field only records that the test was passed. You prepare the safety certificate and the test and inspection report as before; as PDFs you can store them on the site under «Plans & documents».

How do materials from the service van get into the report?

The employee chooses them from stock in the report. If «Deduct material from stock» is switched on, the stock goes down — first in the vehicle assigned to them, otherwise in the central warehouse.

Where can I see who has the multimeter?

On the item in stock: who it is lent to, since when and on which site, plus the full history. The employee sees it in the app under «My inventory».

Does travel time count as working time?

That is governed by the collective labour agreement, not the app. Baurapport records travel time separately from working hours. What the electrical GAV says about it is explained in the guide Travel time in construction.
